Prescription for Romanian pharmacies
Encrypted medical data
English-speaking dermatologist in Romania. Online, with a prescription within 24 hours.
Living in Romania and don’t speak Romanian? Send photos and describe the problem in English. A consultant dermatologist with over 20 years of experience in Romania and Sweden sends you the diagnosis and treatment plan in English, and a prescription for any Romanian pharmacy — no appointment, no family doctor needed.
Made for people who live in Romania
Seeing a dermatologist here usually means a Romanian-speaking clinic, a waiting list and explaining your skin in a language you don’t speak.
Students
Studying medicine, pharmacy or anything else at a Romanian university? Acne, eczema or a rash that won’t go away — sorted between lectures, in English, without a family doctor.
Working or living here
Expats, foreign employees, partners of Romanians. You get the same care you would expect at home: a clear diagnosis, a written plan and a prescription the Romanian pharmacist understands.
Ran out of your treatment
Brought a cream or tablets from home and they’re running out? Send a photo of the box or your old prescription and of your skin. If the treatment still suits you, you get a Romanian prescription for it, or for the local equivalent.
How it works
Three steps, from your phone or computer. No account, no app, no fixed time.
Fill in the form, in English
Whenever it suits you, in a few minutes: what’s bothering you, since when, what you’ve tried. No CNP? Enter your passport number, or add it later from your file.
Upload your photos
Three or four clear photos of the affected area. GPS data in the photos is stripped in your own browser, before the photo leaves your phone.
Get your treatment
Within 24 hours, by email: the diagnosis and treatment plan in English, and the prescription as a digitally signed PDF — in Romanian, for the Romanian pharmacist. Plus a secure link, also sent by SMS.
One price, everything included
You don’t pay separately for the prescription, for questions or for progress photos.
Diagnosis and treatment, in writing
About €40. You pay once, at the end of the form, by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Your bank converts the amount.
What the 200 RON includes
- A response within 24 hours, no fixed appointment
- The diagnosis and treatment plan, in English, in plain language
- The prescription, as a digitally signed PDF, valid in Romanian pharmacies
- A referral or recommended lab tests, if needed
- 30 days of support: questions, progress photos, adjusting the treatment
- If the photos aren’t enough, I’ll ask for new ones at no cost. If a diagnosis still can’t be made from photos, you get your money back
Is your medicine called something else here? Accutane is isotretinoin, Propecia is finasteride, Lamisil is terbinafine. See what your medicine is called in Romania, whether Romanian pharmacies have it, and whether it needs a prescription.

I don’t know what it is
When online works, and when it doesn’t
So you know from the start what to expect.
Online works well if:
- the problem is visible and you can photograph it
- you have acne, rosacea, eczema, psoriasis or a new rash
- a treatment isn’t working and you want it adjusted
- you’re starting or continuing isotretinoin
- you want a second opinion, or dermoscopy images interpreted
- you need a prescription renewed
You need to be seen in person if:
- a mole has changed and you don’t have dermoscopy images
- a procedure is needed: cryotherapy, excision, injections
- a biopsy or a lab sample is needed
If you’re not sure, send the photo. I’ll tell you whether, and how soon, it needs to be seen in person — and what kind of doctor to look for in Romania.

Who answers you
Dr. Vitalie Lisnic
I am a consultant dermatologist and venereologist (medic primar), a specialist since 2002. Since 2013 I have also worked in the Swedish healthcare system, at Sunderby Sjukhus, where remote dermatology has been routine for years — so English-language and remote care is part of my everyday work.
I read and assess every case sent through the form myself. If something can’t be determined from the photos, I’ll tell you so directly rather than guess.
“I had an online consultation for a scalp problem I’d had for about 3 years. I’d tried various treatments before with no results. After the consultation, he gave me exactly the solution I needed.”
J.E., Google review (translated)
“I got help online, in real time. No need to travel anywhere. Very satisfied — I recommend it with confidence.”

Frequently asked questions
How much does an online dermatology consultation cost?
200 RON (about €40). You send photos and describe the problem, and within 24 hours you receive the diagnosis, the treatment plan and the prescription. 30 days of support are included.
No hidden costs: the price is the same regardless of how many documents result.
I don’t have a CNP. Can I still get a prescription?
Yes. If you have a Romanian residence permit, you already have a CNP — it’s on the permit and starts with 7, 8 or 9. If you don’t, your passport number is enough: it goes on the prescription instead.
If you don’t have either to hand, tick “I’ll send it later” in the form and add it from your file after payment.
Will a Romanian pharmacy accept the prescription?
Yes. It is a private prescription, valid at any pharmacy in Romania. It is written in Romanian with the active substance, so the pharmacist knows exactly what to give you and can offer the cheapest brand.
You pay the full price of the medicine at the pharmacy: a private prescription isn’t reimbursed by the national health insurance. Show the PDF on your phone or forward it by email; a printout or a photo is only a copy.
Will I understand my treatment plan?
Yes. The diagnosis, the explanation and the treatment plan are written in English, in plain language: what you have, why, how to use each medicine and what to expect. Only the prescription itself is in Romanian, because it is for the Romanian pharmacist. If you need a summary in English for another doctor, just ask in the form.
I live outside Romania. Can I use the prescription?
Only if your pharmacist accepts a prescription from another EU country — ask before you send it. If you tell me in the form where you’ll use it, I write it in English, with the international name of the substance. The PDF file is the original; a printout or a photo is a copy.
Whether it is dispensed is the pharmacist’s decision. A prescription from Romania is not valid in the US, Canada or Australia.
Do I need an appointment? How long does it take?
No appointment needed. You fill in the form whenever it suits you, day or night. The reply arrives by email within 24 hours, and most days sooner.
What does the 30-day support include?
Any question about the treatment prescribed: how to apply a cream, how the condition is progressing, progress photos. During these 30 days there’s no extra charge — not for a reassessment, not for adjusting the treatment.
After 30 days, a reassessment or a prescription renewal is a new consultation, at the same price. Your file stays with me, so we don’t start from scratch.
Can we talk live instead?
Video calls can’t be booked directly. For almost all skin problems, the photos and the form lead to the same diagnosis and treatment as a live conversation. If, after looking at your case, I think a video call would help, I’ll suggest it and we’ll agree on a time.
What if a diagnosis can’t be made from the photos?
First I’ll ask for clearer photos, at no cost. If a diagnosis still can’t be made from photos, you get your money back.
If the problem is visible but needs an in-person exam, you receive a written conclusion and concrete guidance — what kind of doctor to see and what to ask for — which you can bring to a physician in Romania. You won’t be asked to pay again.
